Leslie Ritts has practiced environmental law for over thirty years. She began her practice as a public interest attorney at the Environmental Law Institute with U.S. EPA and OSHA contracts. As an associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, under the tutelage of John Quarles, EPA’s first General Counsel, she developed expertise on hazardous waste and wetlands permitting as well as Clean Air Act permits. After passage of the 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments, she became a partner at Hogan & Hartson, LLP, where she counseled multinational companies, public entities, national trade associations, financial institutions, and pro bono clients on environmental regulatory compliance and public policy development. She opened the Ritts Law Group, PLLC in 2007, and advises national trade associations, businesses, and municipalities before the EPA and federal courts.
